The proposed Batesville Innovation District Hub would amplify the current STEAM opportunities offered at our schools as well as provide our students with an accessible location in which to explore their passions and pursue projects outside of school hours.
Paul Ketcham, Superintendent, Batesville Community School Corporation

This project would create an impressive gateway into the downtown district and support the economic development of Batesville. The addition of maker spaces to enhance the learning services within the library would give our community members an avenue to explore their interests and hobbies, possibly growing them into entrepreneurial opportunities.

Amy Pretzer, Executive Director, Batesville Main Street
As a small business owner without a traditional office space, the library has been on of my biggest resources. The library is my headquarters! It is amazing how BMPL is no longer just about books but is a vital community center with extensive benefits – such as mobile hotspots – that are essential for an entrepreneur like me.
Steven Harmeyer, The 812
