You can now borrow a Mobile Hotspot from the Batesville Memorial Public Library!

The Mobile Hotspot will work anywhere that is covered by the T-Mobile network, and can be used to create a wireless network. A Mobile Hotspot is easy-to-use and it’ll keep your tablet, laptop, and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices connected to the Internet. You can connect up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled mobile devices.

What Do I Need To Know?

Just visit the Batesville Memorial Public Library and go to the circulation desk. After you sign the user agreement, a staff member will pull the device for check out.

A Mobile Hotspot can be borrowed by Batesville Memorial Public Library patrons ages 21 and older whose accounts are in good standing, with a current address (within the Batesville Memorial Public Library district) and no current fines.

A valid Batesville Memorial Public Library account AND a current driver’s license, passport, or military ID must be present at time of checkout.

You can borrow a Mobile Hotspot for one week with no cost.

If the device or any parts are missing when you return the Mobile Hotspot, a fee will be charged to your account. Please see below for replacement costs:

Mobile Hotspot unit: $75
Power adaptor: $10
Power cord: $10
Case: $15
Total Replacement Cost: $110

Mobile Hotspots can be checked out for one week with no renewals.

Overdue Mobile Hotspots will be deactivated within 24 hours of the due date.

No, holds can not be placed on Mobile Hotspots.

Mobile Hotspots can be returned at the circulation desk of the Batesville Memorial Public Library.

A Mobile Hotspot can not be returned to another library or to the drop box. Patrons will be charged a $25 fine for Mobile Hotspots returned to a book drop (either indoor or outdoor) or to another library.
