A Volksmarch (German for "people's walk") is a non-competitive, recreational walk or hike through scenic or historic areas, focusing on fitness, fun, and camaraderie; participants follow marked trails, get cards stamped at checkpoints, and enjoy nature, local culture, and sometimes refreshments. Come join us the last Tuesday of each month! This month we will meet at the park behind Beautiful World shop for an Oldenburg (History Walk). ALL AGES WELCOME Registration is REQUIRED All Children MUST be accompanied by an Adult Participants must be able to stay in between the two BMPL Guides while walking and must be able to follow all instructions while visiting special locations. Enjoy the fresh air, get active, and have fun with others while learning something new! Sublimation prints clear images and designs onto transfer paper with a heat-activated ink. When the paper is heated up, the ink is permanently transferred onto another surface. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop to use during the design portion of this class, but a personal device is not required to attend. Ages: 15+ Time: 1-3PM Location: Innovation Studio (Arts and Innovation HUB) In this program, we will use the sublimation printer to print a unique design and use the heat press to put the design onto a coffee mug. Each participant will walk away with their own personalized coffee mug. Coffee mugs and all materials will be provided. Ages 15 and older can attend this class and work with the heat press independently.

Gary Wintz will give his Annual World Travel Presentation at 6:30-7:50 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at the Batesville Memorial Public Library. Gary was born and raised in the area and has traveled to over 200 countries. He is a tour leader to many foreign lands on all continents. His goal is always to bring people together to celebrate our unity as Hoosiers and humans - locally, nationally, and globally. Register for this in-person class to become a Certified User of the 3D Printers in the Innovation Studio. Completion of this training is needed to use any of the four 3D printers at the Arts and Innovation Hub. Registration is required Ages 12 to 14 may register for a learner’s permit certification, but also require an adult aged 18+ to be certified and accompany the minor while using the 3d printers. Ages 15 and older can become certified to work independently with the 3D printers. This is a FREE class. Ages: 12+(with an adult) 15+ independently Location: Innovation Studio (Arts & Innovation HUB) Time: 11-12PM Registration is required. Please sign up.

Felting is one of the oldest forms of textile arts. Needle felting begins by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with a needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. We will be making a felted trinket bowl! This is a FREE program and all material will be supplied. From developing unforgettable characters to designing believable settings and crafting engaging plots, discover practical techniques that bring stories to life. Whether you're dreaming about your first novel, polishing a work in progress, or simply curious about the writing process, this program is for storytellers of all experience levels. We invite readers, writers, and community members of all ages to attend this exciting celebration of local literature and creativity in the event room at the Arts & Innovation HUB.
