Theme: Rain Craft: Umbrella & Blue Dots There's no time like Storytime! Join us every Tuesday for a fun filled 45 minute session that incorporates books, songs, & activities to build early literacy skills. Choose the session that fits best with your schedule. There are 3 times to choose from. Choose between 10am, 2pm or 6pm. This program is geared toward children ages 3 - 6. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Participants will create a spinning pendulum with magnets and other simple materials. This FREE program is for grades 3rd - 8th. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Sign your child(ren) up below.

Join us to sew a felt pouch.  We will use a fun technique called water felting to make a pattern on our pouch and we will sew it together! This program is for children in 1st - 6th grade. Registration is required. Please sign your child(ren) up below. The Ukulele Club is a club for anyone who plays or wants to learn how to play the Ukulele. We have fun singing and playing all kinds of music! Music sheets are provided. The Ukulele Club meets in the (Activity Lab located in the children's area) of the library every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, from 6:30 - 7:30pm. Batesville Library has FREE Ukuleles for checkout if you are interested in playing or learning to play. For more information about this club please contact Janey at psteph@etczone.com. Get Outdoors Around the World Challenge! THIS MONTH OUR COUNTRY IS JAPAN! Let's play games!!! Some Japanese children’s playground games are, the Manner Beans Game (which is a bean grabbing game with chopsticks, Juichu (which is a going under a rope game), and Othella (the turning over race), come play and enjoy the outdoors!!! Participants will meet at Brum Woods in Batesville. WE WILL USE your email for updates & possible changes due to weather. Reap the benefits of outdoor play with Batesville Library's Get Outdoors Around the WORLD challenge. This program is designed to give your family ideas to get outdoors more. There will be MONTHLY PROGRAMS/CHALLENGES with the focus on what other Countries do "outdoors" to have fun. After REGISTERING your family below you will receive a cinch sack, journal, tracker sheet and PASSPORT at the program if you have not received your just ask. This is our 3rd program. You can join anytime throughout the year. Our country we will focus on is Iran.  Passports will be stamped anytime at the library. At each program participants will get a "Country" with a list of outdoor tasks to complete. Once ALL the tasks are complete for that Country, bring your sheet and Passport into the library to get stamped and pick up your small prize. **By registering, you will receive a few emails listing other outdoor events around the area from local parks and other community groups. Challenge runs from JANUARY 1 to December 1, 2025. We will have a special gathering at the END of the challenge for all who try to complete the challenge. REGISTER below by FAMILY name and # number of family members participating. Each month you will need to register for the next program.

We have a New Program starting at BMPL! Travel with Bear on a reading adventure and get your puppy passport stamped! You will need to sign your child up for a 15 minute reading spot below. Bring a favorite book from home or choose a book from our stacks. It is up to you! This is a great opportunity for kiddos who love dogs, are a reluctant, shy or struggling reader. Register your child below for a 15 minute time spot.

TAKE AND MAKE ONLY: Our littles craft will be a take and make this month!  Register, stop by and get your bag, and create a yarn art masterpiece at home!  This program is for preschool and kindergarten aged kids and registration is required.
