Bread & Butter
Meeting Room ABThis informative class is all about Bread and Butter (Sourdough Bread & Butter Candles). Join Jessica Stirn of Sourdough Rising to discover why sourdough is more than just a trendy bread choice, can contribute to a healthier lifestyle with fewer additives and preservatives, and why it stands out as one of the most beloved traditional bread recipes. You also will learn how to make fresh, creamy butter from scratch using simple ingredients. To wrap up the class, a demonstration of how to make beautiful butter candles will provide you with a fun and creative way to enjoy this versatile product. Samples of fresh sourdough bread and butter will be offered during the class. Reservations required by April 11. This class is sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Suggested donation: $10

Up-cycled CD Mosaic Frame – Adult Craft
Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesIn this hands-on craft workshop, participants will repurposing old, unused CDs, to cut and assemble them into colorful mosaic art. The reflective surface of the CDs will add an interesting texture and shimmer to the final artwork. This eco-friendly craft not only gives new life to discarded materials but also provides an opportunity to explore art, creativity, and sustainability. We have fun singing and playing all kinds of music! Music sheets are provided. Get Outdoors Around the World Challenge — Family FUN
Brum Woods 611 South Mulberry Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesGet Outdoors Around the World Challenge! THIS MONTH OUR COUNTRY IS JAPAN! Let's play games!!! Some Japanese children’s playground games are, the Manner Beans Game (which is a bean grabbing game with chopsticks, Juichu (which is a going under a rope game), and Othella (the turning over race), come play and enjoy the outdoors!!! Participants will meet at Brum Woods in Batesville. WE WILL USE your email for updates & possible changes due to weather. Reap the benefits of outdoor play with Batesville Library's Get Outdoors Around the WORLD challenge. This program is designed to give your family ideas to get outdoors more. There will be MONTHLY PROGRAMS/CHALLENGES with the focus on what other Countries do "outdoors" to have fun. After REGISTERING your family below you will receive a cinch sack, journal, tracker sheet and PASSPORT at the program if you have not received your just ask. This is our 3rd program. You can join anytime throughout the year. Our country we will focus on is Iran. Passports will be stamped anytime at the library. At each program participants will get a "Country" with a list of outdoor tasks to complete. Once ALL the tasks are complete for that Country, bring your sheet and Passport into the library to get stamped and pick up your small prize. **By registering, you will receive a few emails listing other outdoor events around the area from local parks and other community groups. Challenge runs from JANUARY 1 to December 1, 2025. We will have a special gathering at the END of the challenge for all who try to complete the challenge. REGISTER below by FAMILY name and # number of family members participating. Each month you will need to register for the next program.

Felting Class
Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesFelting is one of the oldest forms of textile arts. Needle felting is begun by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with the needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. Join us this month as we learn how to "paint with wool" a flower photo! All material will be supplied. We will meet inside the library.
