SUMMER Mother Goose Lap Sit
Activity Lab 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesJoin us on Mondays during the summer for a fun filled 30 minute interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers. This program is geared toward children ages 0 to 3. During the summer Mother Goose is at 10AM ONLY. Dates for the 10AM ONLY Mother Goose is - June 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th and July 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd.

Liberty ParkStorytime will change starting JUNE 3 for the Summer! During the summer (June & July) there will be NO Storytime at the Library. Join Miss Sarah at Liberty Park on the grass by the playground to spend 30 minutes reading, singing, and dancing together! NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. This program is geared toward children ages 3 - 6. Dates for the 11:00AM - 11:30AM ONLY Summer Stories at the Park is – June 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th and July 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd.

Story Seekers Book Club – Youth
Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesJuly 2nd we will be discussing The Bark of the Bog Owl by Jonathan Rogers, the book we read in June. Participants will also receive the next book we will be reading for July which is The Restorationists by Carolyn Leiloglou The Restorationists summary from Amazon.com: After an experience he’d rather forget, Vincent is determined to be done with art. So when he and his little sister, Lili, spend spring break with their art conservator great-uncle, Vincent’s plan is to stay glued to his phone. That is, until Lili disappears into one of the world’s most famous paintings and Vincent learns his parents have been hiding something from him: Their family is the last of The Restorationists, a secret society with the power to travel through paintings—and a duty to protect them from evil forces. Participants will read the book for that month and discuss it the following month. There will be a craft or activity to go along with the book. This book club is for grades 3rd - 8th. Little Sprouts Garden Club
Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesWelcome to Little Sprouts Garden Club. This program is for AGES 3 - 6 year olds. This club will meet once a month and talk about all things garden with your little ones. Join us each month as we go from starting seeds to picking our produce in our BMPL garden. This is a hands on program for littles with crafts in between. EACH MONTH you will need to REGISTER your child(ren) for this program. Kids Nature Paint Brush TAKE & MAKE
Circulation DeskThis is a TAKE & MAKE program ONLY. You must be able to stop by the library during the Week of July 8 - 13th to pick up your bag. If Bag is not picked up by July 13th. They will be sat out for other patrons to take. Have some fun painting with nature paint brushes! Your TAKE & MAKE bag will have paint and paper, along with instructions for you to make your own brushes from cool things in nature! This project is for children ages 4 - 8. Registration is required. A Novel Idea Book Club – ADULT

Aging Care Series: Helping Aging Parents

One thing is certain: your parents aren’t likely to be the ones who tell you they need a helping hand! Admitting the need for help and accepting assistance are not easy for people as they age. The responsibility often falls on family members to recognize the signs that an aging loved one might need support with completing activities of daily living (ADLs). Join us to learn the warning signs. Already have concerns? Join us to talk about the next steps, how to introduce the idea of bringing in care and how to find the assistance you need. Afternoon – Felting Class
BMPL Annex 10 West Boehringer Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesWe are continuing our summer needle-felting adventures in July. Join us (on 7/18, a different date than normal) to make a flat-felted vacation scene. Felting is one of the oldest forms of textile arts. Needle felting is begun by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with the needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. This adult group meets on the first Thursday afternoon of each month to make a project. Please join us for this NO cost program. Registration is REQUIRED for this program. Fill out the form below.
