  • Felting Class

    Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United States

    Felting is one of the oldest forms of textile arts. Needle felting begins by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with a needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. We will be making a flower broach. This is a FREE program and all material will be supplied.     Join us to make chalk rockets. We will be using old film canisters, sidewalk chalk, and alka-seltzer tablets. This program, will be outside and may be cancelled due to weather.     The Ukulele Club is a club for anyone who plays or wants to learn how to play the Ukulele. We have fun singing and playing all kinds of music! Music sheets are provided. The Ukulele Club meets in the (Activity Lab located in the children's area) of the library every 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, from 6:30 - 7:30pm.     Join us for this month's craft class and create charming patriotic flowers in a mini watering can. You'll be ready for Memorial Day and can use them all summer to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. All materials will be provided and you will follow along with step-by-step instructions. A suggested donation helps keep our library programs thriving, so we can continue bringing learning, creativity, and community together for everyone.
