    We will be at LIBERTY PARK during this hour. Do you have a project that you need a little motivation to finish? Do you get lonely working on your projects at home? Just want a little company? Join your fellow crafters at the  Library for an afternoon of crafting and chatting. Bring your craft project(s) from home and join us for a crafty social hour! Craft & Chat meets Tuesdays from 1-2 PM. NO REGISTRATION.

  • Macrame Flag

    Be prepared for the America 250 celebration with this red, white, and blue Macrame American Flag. This workshop covers the essential knots-including the Larks Head and the Square Knot to transform simple cotton cord into a beautiful piece of patriotic decor. NO experience needed. We'll teach you everything you need to know. Adults and older teens are eligible to attend this program. Donations help keep our library programs thriving, so we can continue bringing learning, creativity, and community together for everyone, but it is completely optional.   • Button Making Contest for Adults

    Join us in celebrating our Nation’s 250th Anniversary! Come and create a unique 4th of July Button. You will be provided all materials for this craft, plus your design will be entered into the July 4th Button Contest! Look to vote on these patriotic buttons on Facebook to vote for your favorite! Prizes will be presented to the most popular buttons per age groups! Ages: 12 to 14 may register for this class, an adult aged 18+ to be present to accompany and work along side the minor during this class. Ages 15+ can work independently. Location: Innovation Studio (Arts & Innovation HUB) Choose between 2 times: Sign up for 1-3pm OR 5-7pm. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please sign up.

  • Button Making for Kids

    Drop in anytime between 10am and 12pm to make a 4th of JULY themed button! Miss Sarah will be set up under the pergola at the Library with papers, coloring items and our button makers. You can make 1 button.   Ages: Free for kids ages 3-11 years old Location: Pergola outside at the Library Time: 10-12pm

  • Mother Goose 10AM ONLY

    Activity Lab 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United States

    Please NOTE: There will be 10am Mother Goose ONLY through out JUNE and JULY. Join us every Monday for a fun filled 30 minute interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets, musical instruments and more to stimulate the learning process of babies and toddlers. This program is geared towards ages 0 to 3. Help your little one grow by: Building Early Literacy Skills Encouraging Language Development Supporting Social and Emotional Growth in a low-pressure setting NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Our normal Mother Goose time will return back to Mondays at 10am or 11am on August 17, 2026.

  • SUMMER Stories at the PARK

    Liberty Park

    During the summer (June & July) there will be NO Storytime at the Library. Instead, join Miss Sarah at Liberty Park every Monday morning on the grass by the playground to spend time reading together. This will be cancelled in the event of rain. Ages: Free for kids ages 3-5 years old Location: Liberty Park Batesville, IN Time: 11-11:30am NO REGISTRATION. Our normal Storytime will return back to Tuesdays at 10am, 2pm or 6pm on August 18, 2026.
