Needle Felting Class

Needle felting begins by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with a needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. We will be making felted fall leaves! Meeting Room ABThe Ukulele Club is a club for anyone who plays or wants to learn how to play the Ukulele. We have fun singing and playing all kinds of music! Music sheets are provided. The Ukulele Club meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at the library, from 6:00 - 7:30pm. If you are a beginner please join us at 6:00pm. Ages: 12+(with an adult) 15+ independently Location: Innovation Studio (Arts & Innovation HUB) Time: 9AM-10AM Register for this in-person class to become a Certified User of the 3D Printers in the Innovation Studio. Completion of this training is needed to use any of the four 3D printers at the Arts and Innovation Hub. Registration is required Ages 12 to 14 may register for a learner’s permit certification, but also require an adult aged 18+ to be certified and accompany the minor while using the 3d printers. Ages 15 and older can become certified to work independently with the 3D printers.

Sean Gaskell African Harp Performance
Arts and Innovation HUB 113 N Walnut Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesNO Registration. Ages: All Ages Location: Event Room (Arts & Innovation HUB) Time: 5:30PM Sean Gaskell features songs on the kora- a 21 stringed West African harp. He studied under the extensive instruction of Moriba Kuyateh and the late Malamini Jobarteh in Gambia, and both Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Senegal. The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Gaskell has presented adult, youth and family programs at over 400 libraries and a multitude of k-12 schools, colleges, universities and assisted living facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

Join us for a welcoming 6-Week Gentle Yoga Series designed to help improve flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether you're new to yoga or have practiced before, this class offers options to meet you where you are. Participants may choose traditional mat yoga or supportive chair yoga throughout class, allowing everyone to practice in a way that feels comfortable for their body.
