Foil Art – HOMESCHOOL
Meeting Room A 131 N. Walnut St., Batesville, IN, United StatesParticipants will make a unique foil art piece with hot glue and aluminum foil. ***Participants and parents need to be comfortable with the child working with a hot glue gun to create their art outline. Felting Class
BMPL Annex 10 West Boehringer Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesFelting is one of the oldest forms of textile arts. Needle felting is begun by rolling a small amount of wool and stabbing it with the needle. It is a quick hobby to learn, and many find it stress-relieving. This month, we will be making a Shamrock. If you've missed previous classes, please feel free to join us as you will be able to learn these basic techniques during our March class. Consider registering for this cute and functional Needle Felting project! All material will be supplied. We will meet in the BMPL Annex. Join us for a fun and interactive 90-minute chocolate-making class at the Batesville Memorial Public Library! Learn about the rich history of chocolate while getting hands-on experience in tempering, molding, and dipping to create your own delicious treats with experts from Candyland Creations and More. Plus, take home your handmade chocolates in a goody bag! The History of Chocolate: Discover how chocolate evolved from ancient civilizations to modern-day treats. Tempering 101: Learn the secrets of melting and tempering chocolate for a smooth, glossy finish. Hands-On Creations: Molded chocolates (solid and filled) Hand-dipped chocolate treats Decorating Techniques: Learn how to drizzle, sprinkle, and add creative toppings. TAKE & MAKE: No Sew Pillow
Circulation DeskThis is a TAKE & MAKE program ONLY. After you REGISTER your child, you must be able to stop by the library during the Week of March 13th - 22nd to pick up your bag. If Bag is not picked up by March 22nd, they will be sat out for other patrons to take. Join in on the take home fun of making a no sew pillow! We will provide all of the items needed in a bag. This is NOT an in-person program. This project is for children IN GRADES 1ST - 6TH. Registration is required. Please sign your child(ren) up below. Stop by the circulation desk at the library during the Week of March 13th - 22nd to pick up. You must give them the name in which you registered under.

Mayor’s Book Club
Join the Mayor’s Book Club, a new opportunity to foster community discussion around various topics. No rsvp expected, we’re happy to have you drop in! In January, March, May, July, September, and November, Mayor John Irrgang will participate in a discussion about a different book each month. The selected book for March is “Meet Me at the Library: A Place to Foster Social Connection and Promote Democracy” by Shamichael Hallman. You can borrow a copy at the Batesville Memorial Public Library. Get Outdoors Around the World Challenge — Family FUN
Brum Woods 611 South Mulberry Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesGet Outdoors Around the World Challenge! THIS MONTH OUR COUNTRY IS IRAN! Participants will meet at Brum Woods in Batesville for a Nature Walk. WE WILL USE your email for updates & possible changes due to weather. Reap the benefits of outdoor play with Batesville Library's Get Outdoors Around the WORLD challenge. This program is designed to give your family ideas to get outdoors more. There will be MONTHLY PROGRAMS/CHALLENGES with the focus on what other Countries do "outdoors" to have fun. After REGISTERING your family below you will receive a cinch sack, journal, tracker sheet and PASSPORT at the program if you have not received your just ask. This is our 3rd program. You can join anytime throughout the year. Our country we will focus on is Iran. Passports will be stamped anytime at the library. At each program participants will get a "Country" with a list of outdoor tasks to complete. Once ALL the tasks are complete for that Country, bring your sheet and Passport into the library to get stamped and pick up your small prize. **By registering, you will receive a few emails listing other outdoor events around the area from local parks and other community groups. Challenge runs from JANUARY 1 to December 1, 2025. We will have a special gathering at the END of the challenge for all who try to complete the challenge. REGISTER below by FAMILY name and # number of family members participating. Each month you will need to register for the next program.
