This program has been CANCELLED today due to weather conditions. Get Outdoors Around the World Challenge! This month's country is Greece! We will meet at Freedom Park (over by Batesville Tool & Die) for the Olympics. Come play and enjoy the outdoors with us! WE WILL USE your email for updates & possible changes due to weather. Reap the benefits of outdoor play with Batesville Library’s Get Outdoors Around the WORLD challenge. This program is designed to give your family ideas to get outdoors more. There will be MONTHLY PROGRAMS/CHALLENGES with the focus on what other Countries do “outdoors” to have fun. After REGISTERING your family below you will receive a cinch sack, journal, tracker sheet and PASSPORT at the program if you have not received your just ask. You can join anytime throughout the year. Passports will be stamped anytime at the library. At each program participants will get a “Country” with a list of outdoor tasks to complete. Once ALL the tasks are complete for that Country, bring your sheet and Passport into the library to get stamped and pick up your small prize. **By registering, you will receive a few emails listing other outdoor events around the area from local parks and other community groups. Challenge runs from JANUARY 1 to December 1, 2025. We will have a special gathering at the END of the challenge for all who try to complete the challenge. Registration WILL OPEN ON NOVEMBER 17! This activity bag contains 12 fun activities for 2 kids to complete at home. Get in the Holiday Spirit with a 12 SLEEPS ‘TIL SANTA Activity Bag from Batesville Library! Each bag is full of HANDS ON CRAFTS , GAMES and other ACTIVITIES to keep your kiddos entertained as the count down to Christmas approaches. Some FUN includes Christmas slime, Santa searchers, Beard bubbles, Santa says and more . . . Sign up WILL OPEN ON NOV. 17 and PICK-UP begins on Dec. 5th through Dec. 13th at the circulation desk! If your registered bag is not picked up ON or BEFORE December 13th all remaining unclaimed bags will be set out for patrons of the library to take. In- Person Puzzle Swap Attention all puzzle enthusiasts! You are invited to our upcoming Puzzle Swap the WHOLE week of November 17 - 22, 2025! This is a fantastic opportunity for community members to exchange puzzles they’ve already conquered for fresh challenges. Here’s what you need to know: Date: November 17 - 22, 2025 Time: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM  (Monday through Thursday) or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Friday ) or 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Saturday) Location: Batesville Memorial Public Library (tables will be set up in front of the stained glass windows inside) How It Works: Bring Puzzles: Gather any puzzles you’ve completed and are ready to pass on. Swap: Choose from a variety of puzzles brought in by other participants or donated by Batesville Memorial Public Library. Enjoy: Take your new puzzles home and enjoy hours of fun! Guidelines: Puzzles should be complete with no missing pieces. All puzzle sizes and difficulties are welcome. This event is free and open to all ages.
