Ages: Free for kids ages 12-17 years old Location: Meeting Room A Time: 4:15-5pm The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) empowers tweens/teens to make their voices heard at the library. TAB members help shape teen programs, suggest new materials, promote library events, and create a welcoming, inclusive space for all young people in the community. By joining, you as a teen can build leadership skills, earn volunteer hours, and make a real impact on our community. It’s a fun way to get involved, meet new friends, and help create a library that reflects what teens truly want.

NO Registration. Ages: All Ages Location: Event Room (Arts & Innovation HUB) Time: 5:30PM Sean Gaskell features songs on the kora- a 21 stringed West African harp. He studied under the extensive instruction of Moriba Kuyateh and the late Malamini Jobarteh in Gambia, and both Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Senegal. The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Gaskell has presented adult, youth and family programs at over 400 libraries and a multitude of k-12 schools, colleges, universities and assisted living facilities throughout the United States and Canada. |

Whether you're picking up a camera for the first time or have years of experience behind the lens, you're invited to join the new Photography Club at Batesville Public Library! This club is open to adults and teenagers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced photographers. A Volksmarch (German for "people's walk") is a non-competitive, recreational walk or hike through scenic or historic areas, focusing on fitness, fun, and camaraderie; participants follow marked trails, get cards stamped at checkpoints, and enjoy nature, local culture, and sometimes refreshments. Come join us the last Tuesday of each month! This month we will meet at Villa Orchard for an Orchard Walk. Address: 3303 State Road 229, Batesville, IN ALL AGES WELCOME Registration is REQUIRED All Children MUST be accompanied by an Adult Participants must be able to stay in between the two BMPL Guides while walking and must be able to follow all instructions while visiting special locations.
