  • Little Sprouts Garden Club

    Welcome to Little Sprouts Garden Club. This program is for AGES 3 - 6 year olds. This club will meet once a month and talk about all things garden with your little ones. Join us each month as we go from starting seeds to picking our produce in our BMPL garden. This is a hands on program for littles with crafts in between. EACH MONTH you will need to REGISTER your child(ren) for this program. Please fill out the registration form below for each child you would like to register. PARENTS: WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO STICK WITH YOUR CHILD DURING THIS PROGRAM TO HELP WITH THE HANDS ON ACTIVITIES. Thank you!

  • Story Seekers Book Club – Youth

    August 6th we will be discussing The Restorationists by Carolyn Leiloglou, the book we read in July. Participants will also receive the next book we will be reading for August which is Almost Home by Joan Bauer. Almost Home summary from Amazon.com: When twelve-year-old Sugar's grandfather dies and her gambling father takes off yet again, Sugar and her mother lose their home in Missouri. They head to Chicago for a fresh start, only to discover that fresh starts aren't so easy to come by for the homeless. Nevertheless, Sugar's mother has taught her to be grateful no matter what, so Sugar does her best. With the help of a rescue dog, Shush; a foster family; a supportive teacher; a love of poetry; and her own grace and good humor, Sugar comes to understand that while she can't control the hand life deals her, she can control how she responds. Participants will read the book for that month and discuss it the following month. There will be a craft or activity to go along with the book. This book club is for grades 3rd - 8th.     Diamond Painting is a new craft hobby that's a mix between Paint By Numbers and Cross Stitch. With Diamond Painting, you apply tiny resin "diamonds" to a coded adhesive canvas to create shimmering Diamond Art.  This is back due to popular demand.     Aging Care Series: Helping Aging Parents How will you know when your parents need help at home? One thing is certain: your parents aren’t likely to be the ones who tell you they need a helping hand! Admitting the need for help and accepting assistance are not easy for people as they age. The responsibility often falls on family members to recognize the signs that an aging loved one might need support with completing activities of daily living (ADLs). Join us to learn the warning signs. Already have concerns? Join us to talk about the next steps, how to introduce the idea of bringing in care and how to find the assistance you need.
