Yoga
Arts and Innovation HUB 113 N Walnut Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesYou MUST register for each class Age: 18+ Time: 9:30AM-10:30AM Location: Event Room (Arts & Innovation HUB) Gentle Yoga: Accessible for Every Body Yoga that meets you where you are. Join us for a welcoming 6-Week Gentle Yoga Series designed to help improve flexibility, strength, balance, and relaxation in a supportive, encouraging environment. Whether you're new to yoga or have practiced before, this class offers options to meet you where you are. Participants may choose traditional mat yoga or supportive chair yoga throughout class, allowing everyone to practice in a way that feels comfortable for their body. Each one-hour class includes gentle movement, breathing exercises, balance work, stretching, and guided relaxation to promote overall health and well-being. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, if available. Yoga (grippy) socks are also encouraged. Limited yoga mats will be provided for participants who need one. Sean Gaskell African Harp Performance
Arts and Innovation HUB 113 N Walnut Street, Batesville, IN, United StatesNO Registration. Ages: All Ages Location: Event Room (Arts & Innovation HUB) Time: 5:30PM Sean Gaskell features songs on the kora- a 21 stringed West African harp. He studied under the extensive instruction of Moriba Kuyateh and the late Malamini Jobarteh in Gambia, and both Youssoupha Cissokho and Mamadou Cissokho in Senegal. The kora is traditionally played by oral historians known as Griots. Many songs featured on the kora preserve an 800 year history dating back to the founding of the Mande empire. Gaskell has presented adult, youth and family programs at over 400 libraries and a multitude of k-12 schools, colleges, universities and assisted living facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

Whether you're picking up a camera for the first time or have years of experience behind the lens, you're invited to join the new Photography Club at Batesville Public Library! This club is open to adults and teenagers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced photographers. Bring your favorite photos to share with the group, receive constructive feedback, or simply enjoy seeing the work of others. Photos may be presented in printed or electronic formats. The club will be shaped by its members. Participants will help determine future meeting topics, making this a great opportunity to learn new techniques, explore different photography styles, and connect with fellow photography enthusiasts. Meeting Details • When: Fourth Thursday of each month • Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM • Beginning: August • Where: Batesville Public Library Come share your creativity, gain inspiration, and grow your photography skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.
