The 2026 BMPL Batesville READS Reading Challenge is underway!

This reading challenge is open to all adults 18+, with or without a library card, and you can start anytime!

To complete the challenge, read one book in each of the selected 50 categories by December 31st, 2026. To participate, you can track your progress through the Beanstack app on your phone, or you can pick up a paper check list at the Circulation Desk and keep track on paper. Once you complete all 50 categories you MUST stop by the library to pick up your completion prize and enter your name for the $100 grand prize drawing!

Need help finding books for a certain category? Friendly staff members will be available to help with suggestions or chat about the reading challenge? We encourage participants to get creative with the prompts – think outside of the box and have fun!
