About the Series
Welcome to the After Hours Concert Series at the
Batesville (IN) Memorial Public Library.
After Hours Concerts are a series of monthly (except for December),
free-to-the-public performances by a wide variety of musical artists
from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and beyond. We have enjoyed
everything from barbershop to blues; jazz to folk; Celtic to Klezmer;
classical to classic rock. See our
Archives
page for past performers.
If you are looking for entertainment, our concerts at the
library are, as one performer put it, "like an evening at an intimate club."
After Hours Concerts are family-friendly, usually last about two hours (with
a short break) and always free and rain-or-shine. Please note
that some concerts are held at other venues (see
Special Concerts, below).
If you are a musician who would like to play in our series, click
on
Booking at the top to find out more.
If you are
from another public library and would like to know more about our
series, or are already providing live music at your library and want to
share information, please
email the director, Mike Kruse.
Special Concerts
Actually, we think they're all "special," but the following concerts are in a
different venue and/or are part of some special event:
Saturday, July 10 -- After Hours / SummerFest Concert
Held in Batesville's Liberty Park. Rain-or-shine fun in a beautiful
setting.
Saturday, August 28 -- Library Ice Cream Social / After Hours
Concert
Celebrate the end of summer with our annual Ice Cream Social at the
library. Outside if the weather's nice; inside the library if otherwise.
Saturday, September 25 -- After Hours / AppleFest Concert
Batesville's Liberty Park is again the scene for this dinner time
concert.
Another rain-or-shine event.
